Re: Mirrors / Glass Removal

Is it possible to remove the glass to tighten the mirrors pivot? Not mine but from a group I use RZVR, mine on the left is a little loose and whilst hurtling along at ‘break neck’ speeds....it sags. Anyone know a tip on how to tighten the pivot up? Is it a glass out job?? Yes, gently warm the plast...

Re: Vin's Seat Unit

Hi guys, I would rather sell on the mould as it is just collecting dust here but it is a very robust unit and weighs a bit so postage to the states won't be cheap. However the potential return will pay for itself as l guess you may get more interest your end of the pond? I would take £150 plus posta...

Re: Jumping out of 1st gear and re engages

I had a similar issue with my 500 and found that the thrust washer on the selector drum was omitted on the rebuild causing the selectors to make the bike jump out of first gear on load. Washer, Plate part number 90201-125L6 it replaces part number 90201-127E1 Unfortunately unless you remember fittin...

Yamaha Tank Decal Number

Anyone know the part number for the "Yamaha" fuel tank decal on the 1GE red and white paint scheme?

Is it 47x-24161-00 superseded to 9924400120 black in colour?

Re: The Keihin PWK28 Carb. Thread

I tried to setup the bike with the stock airbox. Olli Hi Olli do the carbs fit in the elephant ears? You can fit KR1/S inlet rubbers to the ears with some modification to the rubbers, unfortunately I didn't get to trial fit to standard fairing as my project changed to fitting a yzr fairing. And unf...

Re: Dyna Tek Coils

Any updates on these Dyna coils on performance or regrets/likes?

It is looking like l may need a set on my modified 500.

Re: Neutral Light Wire

I believe from memory that the thread insert is bonded into plastic so if it is spinning then l would suggest replacement. Even if you have to snip the terminal end and re-crimp a new one it isn't a problem. Not sure if still available from Yamaha but Yambits do a replacement. https://uploads.tapata...

Re: Vin's Seat Unit

I have had a few more inquiries regarding making more seat units so again depending on numbers I can get new quotes. I may even offer for sale the actual mould if anyone is interested (cascade500 hasn't come back to me) £150 plus postage (mould is pretty robust so postage may be high if sending abro...
