R6/rz500 project in Aus

#1 Post by not the woose » Sat Oct 08, 2011 10:28 pm

Hi all, I have been working on this project since 07. Started as a track bike now it's a road bike. Just waiting for the painting to be finished. Now if I can just work out how to bring some photos in :???: The photos show some details and the bike as it was finished as track only. http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/bb4 ... 1318116437[/img]

Yeah, photo links are all tangled up. I can't wait to see the real pictures. Sounds like an interesting build.

Thanks Aaron, I need to sort out the photos. How do I get them in here as you did?

Robert.

Looking good.

Brilliant with the tank.

That is the way I am leaning as well, a sub-tank and then use an FZR600 tank cover, except I am going for the 1998 FZR style tank. I was looking to cutup and reweld the FZR600 tank, but a new alloy sheet one may be better in the end.

Is that an R6 frame you have massaged to fit the RZ engine?

Was this bike the inspiration for this image that popped up online in 2007 or was it the image that inspired this bike? Either way, I am glad both exist :)
